This week passed by so fast. Every week passes by
faster and faster and it kind of makes me want to puke. Last monday we
had a fun district activity. We ate some completos. good
times. Tuesday morning we went to this less active members house .
La familia Peñaloza. He has a little gym with weights in his house and
hes a buff little dude and we lifted weights twice this week. My biceps
hurt afterwards. The good news is that he has a daughter thats 9 years
old and isnt baptized. His other son is really active and goes to
seminary every day. Long story short he (Cristina Peñaloza) has a baptismal
date for the 17th. They went to the morning session saturday and
sunday. Not much is happening with Odilin.
We had a conference with Pres Diaz
Wednesday. It was really good the only bad news was that i got sick that
day with a cold. Also Hna Diaz went and bought me some allergy
medications which was really nice of her. So based on the pattern this week
i wont get sick but the next week i will. I ordered two new nametags and
they spelled my name wrong....I am now Elder Garnder. Its my new secret
identity. Its starting to get cold here. In the morning i now have
to do my prayer under my sheets cause heating doesn't exist here and we have a
tile floor which turns our apartment into an ice chest.
MY favorite talks were the talks by President
Nelson, President Monson in the priesthood session and Elder Kearon, Uchtdorf
and Holland. It was really good conference but kind of sad that it was my
last conference in the mission field. I saw it in Quillota we had a TV
in the room of the high council and we watched it in English.
